Job Description

Manager of a team of supply planners responsible for providing the highest service level and fill rate within the working capital constraints of the financial plan

Develops proactive strategies to anticipate and mitigate issues and risks with respect to supply planning for the Parts & Supplies Business.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversees a team of supply planners; provides leadership to direct reports and team members

  • Provides guidance to developing inventory supply plans to support the Parts & Supplies business

  • Manages supply planning systems and process improvements

  • Reviews inventory targets and replenishment strategies to meet inventory needs for our customers

  • Facilitates the reduction of excess inventory

  • Responsible for key metrics of stock outs, network and fill rates, inventory turn, and working capital

  • Assists in setting strategic direction for Supply Chain initiatives

  • Manages the staffing, work, development, and performance of assigned employees

Qualifications

  • Requires bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 8+ years of strong supply chain environment (Supply chain management, Purchasing, Inventory Planning)

  • APICS or Equivalent certification preferred

  • Ability to interact with senior management; strong communication and presence

  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to work across functional areas

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Aptitude to analyze large sets of discrete data to identify trends, issues and opportunities

  • Highly self-motivated with a track record of taking ownership

  • Expert with advanced planning system technology

  • Expert knowledge of SAP query design, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access (knowledge of Visual Basic, SQL ,etc. is a plus)
