The Channel Marketing Manager identifies, develops and executes innovative B2B marketing programs and initiatives that align with the needs of a specific channel or channels (i.e. Design Build, Plan & Spec, Service & Replacement, or National Accounts) to drive growth through new business and existing customers. The manager works with executive management to analyze data and define overall marketing strategy, including the financial metrics for marketing program and revenue generation goals. Provides input to product development teams and supports the successful launch, promotion, education and communications for new product introductions.
Subject matter expert for customers within the assigned channel(s) with full understanding of key purchasing criteria and key purchasing processes
Gathers insights and leads the direction for channel needs and opportunities by conducting surveys, interviews and customer visits
Develops value propositions for channel products and programs
Develops and delivers the communication and sales tools that support the selling process
Designs and leads key marketing activities such as customer events, trade shows, and digital marketing to improve Lennox ability to grow share within assigned channel(s).
Closely manages channel marketing expenses and budgets
Manages, develops, and executes sales promotion policies, programs and initiatives to maximize the profits of the organization’s sales.
Researches, evaluates and owns the enhancements to the market positioning of the organization’s products and services.
Monitors product trends for channel
Evaluates industry trends and conducts market research for input to product development to maximize profitability and increase market share in channel
Owns the launch of new channel products and supports the cross-functional product implementation plans
Monitors, tracks and reports on sales, margin, and market share for assigned channel
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing; Advanced degree preferred
3-5 years of experience in sales or B2B marketing roles
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills that result in effective communications
Strong presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to make fact based decisions and recommendations in a timely manner
Ability to present
Ability to work independently, identify opportunities for improvement and proactively implement ideas with limited direction and oversight
Outstanding cross-functional leadership skills; viewed as credible by business unit/functional leaders
The ability to collect data and make sound decisions based on data
Able to get buy-in and commitment from both internal and external stakeholders
