Job Description

Under general supervision the Sourcing & Inventory Optimization Specialist will enter and oversee customer orders and purchase orders for Third Party product, will maintain inventory control of product and develop a demand planning/forecasting process to facilitate inventory turn-over. This person will also manage shipping, invoicing and documentation of orders and will maintain good relations with vendors and customers. They will work closely with Customer Financial Services and Compliance to promptly resolve credit or import/export issues.

Responsibilities

  • Taking customer orders and inventory purchase orders for third party product. This will entail working both with the customer to ensure timely and fully documented shipments and the inventory manager to maintain a steady flow of goods for order coverage.

  • Managing accurate and efficient demand planning/forecasting and inventory optimization.

  • Communicating effectively with customers to program orders and shipments and resolve inquiries and issues.

  • Processing orders as per proper import/export and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least 2 years’ experience in purchasing, inventory control, logistics or demand planning, and customer interaction.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish, both verbal and written, is a must.

  • Chinese language skills are a plus

  • Proficiency in multi-tasking, setting priorities and self-motivation, while still working as an effective team member.

  • Strong communication skills, expertise in Excel, superior time management skills and an affinity for details will be essential to fulfil the expectations for this position.
